Kanha<br \/>national park was the backdrop of Rudyard Kipling\u2019s \u2018Jungle Book\u2019. Spread over 1,945 sq.<br \/>km of dense Sal forests, the national park is interspersed with extensive meadows and trees<br \/>and clumps of wild bamboo. Kanha is best known as the natural habitat of the Tiger<br \/>Spend 2 nights in Kanha, enjoying twice daily game drives (jeep safari) into the national<br \/>park<br \/><b>Day 7 and 8 Kanha to Bandhavgarh (250 Kms \/ 6 Hrs)<br \/><\/b>From Kanha, you will be driven to Bandhavgarh National Park. Set amongst the Vindhya<br \/>mountain range, Bandhavgarh is a small national park, but with the highest known density<br \/>of tiger population in India. This is also known as White Tiger territory.<br \/>Spend 2 nights in Bandhavgarh, enjoying twice daily game drives (jeep safari) into the<br \/>national park<\/p><p><b>Day 9 Bandhavgarh to Khajuraho (260 Kms \/ 6 Hrs)<br \/><\/b>Early morning, drive to Khajuraho &#8211; a UNESCO world heritage site in central India, famous<br \/>for its erotic sculptured temples. Upon arrival in Khajuraho, check in to your hotel and<br \/>freshen up.<br \/>This afternoon, visit the enchanting temples of Khajuraho with sculptures that draw their<br \/>inspiration from the ancient art of Kama sutra. The word Orchha literally means &amp;#39;hidden place&amp;#39;. Today, we visit ruins<br \/>of old palaces such as the tiered Jahangir Mahal, the erstwhile palace of Emperor Jahangir,<br \/>a fine example of medieval Indo Islamic architecture decorated with paintings and frescoes<br \/>built in 17th century and the Raj Mahal, which features colorful murals and frescoes from<br \/>the life of Lord Rama and Krishna and incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Also visit popular<br \/>temples of the region such as Ram Raja temple, Chaturbhuj temple and Lakshmi Narayan<br \/>temple.
